Confucius said in his Analects (who knows whether facetiously
or not): “I’ve never met a man who loves
ethics more than sex.” Are the two—sex
and ethics--inevitably (or naturally) opposed, one “high” and the other “low”?
Might some argue that sex contains its own “high” ethics? If so, on what basis?
If not, why not?
