Write an essay on one or more of the 5 Edgar Allan Poe
stories covered (The Gold-Bug, The Spectacles, The Oblong Box, Thou Art
the Man, The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether). This essay must
make a thematic claim and be backed up with evidence from the texts
themselves or from secondary sources (not required). The story(ies) must
be analzyed in a thematic point of view, and must make a claim of "why"
or "how" a theme(s) is used in the story(ies) chosen and be backed up
with evidence.
