ICU intubated patients

Among ICU intubated patients, is continuous lateral rotation therapy, as compared to no rotation, more effective in the prevention of acute lung injury and ARDS?
What questions would you like to answer that are relevant to your clinical practice? Some examples of PICO questions are:
1. In the surgical patient (P) is the administration of preoperative antibiotics within one hour of surgical incision (I) more effective than before one hour of surgical incision (C) in preventing postoperative surgical incision wound infection (O)?
2. Do surgical patients (P) with intraoperative hypothermia (I) have higher incidence of postoperative complications (O) compared to normothermic patients during surgery (C)?
A well formulated PICOT question is essential to doing a successful literature search for evidence and writing a meaningful EBP paper. Identify each component of your PICOT question. You do not have to include the Time component, but you must at least have a P, I C and O . This assignment will be the foundation of your remaining papers as you will continue to add to this paper.,CLICK HERE TO GET MORE.........
A. Introduction section – PICOT Question Development (45 points)
1. Introduce your topic by stating why this topic is of interest and its significance in clinical practice. Provide background information with references about your topic. What is the current state of practice on that topic?
2. End this section with a purpose statement – The purpose of this paper is to present the evidence . . .
B. Search Results/Methods section (45 points)
1. Begin this section of the paper showing the elements of your PICOT question used in your literature search. Identify each P-I-C-O-T component.
2. Identify synonyms for each component of your PICOT question that you used in your
literature search. This identifies alternative search strategies used during your search for evidence. You will have the opportunity to explain how you used alternate searches if necessary in this section.
3. Generate a Search Results Table. Place it after your References in your paper as part of your Appendices. This identifies which databases you looked in, what search keywords or combination searches you used.
You must use a minimum of five databases. Details on how to construct a Search Results Table are in our course in Weeks 3-4.,CLICK HERE TO GET MORE.........
4. Describe, in this section of the paper, your search strategy. Include databases, keywords, and additional searching strategies
5. Identify the inclusion and exclusion criteria used to choose the five selected articles from your Search Results table. Did you use filters? Limitations? Explain these criteria in the narrative of your paper.
C. APA Formatting, Logic, Paper Construction, Syntax, Grammar and Spelling (10 points)
APA identifies writing in the first person familiar tense as appropriate, however this is a policy that many journals do not accept. Thus, for this paper do not write in the first person (I, we, us etc).,CLICK HERE TO GET MORE.........
