Human Anatomy and Physiology

Part A
Scientific Drawing
Present TWO scientific drawings that you have done during the microscopy practical. Use text books to help label the drawings as far as possible.
Use text books to find out the approximate size of one feature of your drawing, for example the size of a red blood cell, then use the following formula to indicate the magnification of the drawing..CLICK HERE TO ORDER THIS ESSAY!!!!
Magnification = Drawing size
Actual size
For example, here the bacterium on the left of this picture is actually 2.3??m, but in the drawing it is 19mm. So the magnification is
19000??m = 8260
2.3m
This is then written under the figure as shown.
Magnification x 8260
(5 marks per figure)
For EACH figure, briefly answer the following questions related to what you have drawn (50 words per answer, 5 marks per answer, 6 answers):
1) Where would you find the tissue within the organ, and what function does the tissue carry out?
2) What features do the different cell types identified have that enable them to carry out their functions?
3) What pathological state(s) might you be able to identify in the tissues you have drawn (give at least one example)?CLICK HERE TO ORDER THIS ESSAY!!!!
Part B
Homeostasis
Answer the following essay question in your own words. You are encouraged to draw your own labeled diagrams to support your answers. Be sure to include a descriptive legend for all figures. Correct referencing and presentation are worth up to 10 marks.
‘Describe what is meant by the term “homeostasis”. Discuss one example each of positive and negative feedback, with reference as to neurons and the nervous system’.
