Prepare a 700- to 1,050-word paper applying the Toulmin method of argument analysis to an essay.
Identify the claim, data, warrant, and backing of the essay, (as shown in Chapters 2, 3, 10, and 11 of the text) as well as any qualifiers that are included, in the process of explaining how these elements contribute to the success or failure of this work as a persuasive argument.
Include how the data shapes the genre and the format in which it is presented.
Each Learning Team will be assigned an essay or may choose one from the text.
