Essays Part III:
Your writing should illustrate knowledge of the concepts through an original personal and/or professional integration of the assigned text material. All assignments MUST be typed, double-spaced, in APA style, and must be written at graduate level English. The content, conciseness, and clarity of your answers will be considered in the evaluation of your work. These answers should be 2 pages each. You must integrate the material presented in the text and cite your work according to APA format.
1. William James in the 19th century discussed his perception of “The Self”. How do you see this as related to 20th century schools of psychology?
2. Compare and contrast the behavioral attitudes toward psychology of Pavlov, Watson, and McDougall. Do you see any relevance to your own life in these theories?
3. How do you see the work of Tolman, Hull and Skinner as a collaborative effort on Behaviorism as we know it today?
4. In considering the Gestalt explanations of Learning, Productive Thinking, and Memory, apply these concepts to your own cognitive process and describe.
