Bargh, J. A., Chen, M., & Burrows, L. (1996). Automaticity of social behavior: Direct effects of trait construct and stereotype activation on action. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 71 (2), 230-244.
Student Instructions: For your experimental study, you are the researcher, and you will collect data from six participants (the participants must not be taking research methods in the Fall semester, 2012). Participants can be male or female between 18 and 60 years of age and must be fluent in English. Each survey has three parts. In Part I, participants will unscramble sentences using 4 of 5 of the provided words. In Part II, they will provide some information about their preferences and provide some emotional feedback. You, the researcher will need to record how long it takes each participant to fill out part II of the survey (using a stop watch or watch with seconds hand), but must NOT tell participants that you are doing so. In Part III, participants will provide demographic information
