VFE Analysis


This week?s resources address various aspects of teacher knowledge and professionalism, the stages of teacher development, and the importance of developing caring relationships and effective communication with and among students.
As instructed in the Learning Resources for this week, you used the VFE? Analysis Sheet to analyze one of the two Virtual Field Experience? segments for evidence of how the teacher in the media segment used teaching practices and demonstrated dispositions that will engage students in effective learning?practices and dispositions that you are expected to demonstrate as a result of your learning in your MS in Education program. With this analysis in mind, consider how this teacher also exhibited the knowledge and expertise indicated in the Garmston article and Danielson’s framework for professional teaching, as well as how she exemplified professionalism as described in the other required readings. Bring to mind examples from the media segment to support your ideas.

Post the title of the Virtual Field Experience? segment you viewed, and provide a critical analysis of one of the practices/dispositions in each of the four categories on the VFE Analysis Sheet (NBPTS Standards, RWRCOEL/Walden Dispositions, Conceptual Framework Critical Components, and Diversity Proficiencies). Explain how the practices or dispositions were used (or could have been used) in the lesson to engage students in effective learning. Be sure to cite observations from the lesson. Then, explain how these observations show evidence of the teacher?s professional knowledge, expertise, and professionalism as described in this week?s Learning Resources. Indicate one or more recommendations for improvement that you would make to this teacher.
