William Faulkner, the Old South and the new South.


1.The paper will be at least 2000 words.
2.You will use at least four secondary sources in addition to the literary
text or texts you are analyzing. For our purposes, primary sources include the actual story, poem, or play under discussion while the secondary sources are articles written about those texts.(A Rose for Emily’s will be in there)
3. All sources must be correctly documented in MLA style. Your paper will include
both in-text(or parenthetical)citations and a Works Cited page. This will not be included in your word count. All works you consult, including the bibliographical information for the story, poem, or play must be included.
Topic: A study of a particular author which goes beyond biography. The subject is William Faulkner, and his connection to the South, old and new, why does he always wrote about it? Please includes a few of his fiction/story in it as ref.
Other Notes: Students will complete an argumentative (persuasive) research essay of at least 2,000 words, using a minimum of four secondary sources, correctly documented and utilizing MLA style citation guidelines for in-text citations and works cited page. The research essay will be completed in stages during the semester; points will accrue as fol lows:
Primary Source must be the story from Faulkner
Secondary Source must be using the Leatherby Library databases:
