The Noun Phrase

It’s your choice. Please choose from one of the following topics on grammar. Please use this book http://www.amazon.com/Introducing-English-Grammar-Kersti-Borjars/dp/1444109871
I’ll attach a PDF version as well
1) On p 176 B&B discuss adventurous pre-modifiers like ‘that being blond and riding on a white horse along the beach feeling’. Find or make up some examples of your own that are even more adventurous, but which you feel are still plausibly sayable, and post to Discussions.
2) On p 178 B&B discuss simple adjectives that post-modify nouns rather than pre-modify them. Make up as comprehensive list of such adjectives as you can, and discuss whether or not they fit with B&B’s ‘French order’ suggestion.
3) Start or contribute to a string headed "Text Qs 1 & 2" in which the first poster completes Q1 on p187 of the text, the second poster completes Q2 on p188, and subsequent posters may only contribute if they wish to offer (giving their reasons!) an alternative analysis to some aspect of the first two posters’ answers.
4) Start or contribute to a string headed "Text Q 3", in which the first poster analyses sentences (a)-(e) on p188 of the text, the second poster analyses sentences (f)-(j), and subsequent posters may only contribute if they wish to offer (giving their reasons!) an alternative analysis to some aspect of the first two posters’ answers.
5) Start or contribute to a string headed "Text Q 4" in which the first poster tackles Q4 on p188 of the text, and subsequent posters may only contribute if they wish to offer (giving their reasons!) an alternative analysis to some aspect of the first poster’s answers.
6) Feeling brave? Revisit tree 13), and consider B&B’s claim that the determiner ‘the’ here is the complement of ‘flag’, rather than ‘shadow’. Can you also add a determiner (or pre-determiner) that is the complement of ‘shadow’? If so, can you draw that tree?
