Paper instructions:
The first step in completing the project is to prepare a 1- to 2-page proposal covering the proposed topic/policy and your plans for analyzing the policy.
• This proposal should include the following information:
o A brief statement of the issue and policy to be covered
o An outline of how you will complete the analysis (i.e., what information will you gather and from what sources – the Internet should be one of these sources). What strategies will you use to gather the information? To whom will you speak about the topic or issue?
o In what role you will imagine yourself in completing the analysis (legislative aide, policy analyst, citizens’ advocate, member of a legislative committee, other)
