atherosclerosis


1. Early on, atherosclerosis was described pretty much as
globs of lipids occluding arterial walls. How did the “Response-to-lnjury” Hypothesis of Ross and Libby’s emphasis on Atherosclerosis being
an inflammatory disease change that?
2. Inflammation is key in many vascular-related and other diseases and altered health conditions. How
do you define inflammation?
3. In all disciplines, key individuals can be identified as “leaders in the field” andlor those whose
discoveries andlor hypothesesltheories have really driven the field. Can you identify key scientists and clinicians who have made a large
impact in your fields and developing areas of expertise? Please share these key individuals and their accomplishments with your group. (Use
