epistemological scepticism

1. “What motivates epistemological scepticism?
2. Which principles inform the sceptical argumentation?
3. How, if at all, can we meet the sceptical challenge?”
. The reading for your second essay includes the
essays in Chapter 9 of Huemer’s collection.
As you should have already guessed, in philosophy there are no recipes. Each essay submitted for this course will very likely present a different position, argued for in a very different way.
Overall, what makes a philosophy essay good depends largely on the originality and intellectual honesty you bring to bear upon your work. For more specific suggestions, check the detailed information of the Appendix to your Study-Guide.
