Quit Smoking Strategies


What can you do to help someone stop smoking? Imagine that one of your friends is trying to stop smoking and comes to you for advice. What are FOUR strategies you could suggest to him or her? Explain how these strategies could be implemented.

Many smokers claim they cannot quit because they use smoking as a stress relief strategy. However, some research literature suggests that the opposite may be true and that smoking may actually increase a person?s stress. Describe THREE ways in which smoking actually increases stress.
