Spanish speaking population of ELL students



Paper instructions:
1) Using the Spanish speaking population of ELL students, reviewing Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State to State test (ACCESS for ELL) used as the English language proficiency test in District of Columbia Public School Discussed how it is used; explain its benefits and drawbacks.
2) Then, read the Stiggins & Chappius article. Summarize at least three alternative assessment formats. Explain the important features of each type.
3) Write an essay of 1000-1250 words in which you share the above ELP test and article information, and in which you justify why the school should or should not keep the ELP test(s) it currently uses or move to an alternative. Additionally, address these questions: Are standardized testing and language proficiency workable methods for monitoring student progress in general? Why or why not?
4) Use standard essay format in APA style, including an introduction, conclusion, and title page. An abstract is required. Cite in-text and in the References section.
