Write an 800-1000 word paper and it will be an analysis of a primary source document. The topic will be The Treaty of Westphalia. Provide a background of the author of the document, state the purpose of the document and gauge its objectivity, provide historical context, and discuss the document’s historical significance.
While you should evaluate specific passages, please refrain from making overly long direct quotations; directly quoted material should not make up more than 15 percent of your paper. Using the Chicago style, fully cite the document itself and any secondary sources consulted.
