Terrorists

Terrorists, like other human beings, seek to justify their actions, but this is made difficult by the fact that they cannot accept the world as it is, and refuse to adopt a peaceful solution to change. The most serious of terrorist acts is the taking of human life. Not unlike the soldier who is rewarded for killing in combat, the terrorist seeks reinforcement for this action. But terrorists are denied the societal approval granted to military personnel and must seek it from outside normative channels. This need for reinforcement often lures individuals to larger groups where they can find support and a path to social acceptance. How do terrorist groups justify their behavior?
