You are required to develop a well presented and logically structured report on the present status and future potential of an oil and gas company, as if the audience is a group of city investors deciding whether or not to invest heavily in the company.
You are NOT trying to sell them the company – but provide a balanced, analytical view of whether (or not) the company would make a profitable short/medium/long based on the management style and the organizational structure.
Keep this firmly in mind – you are not expected to simply describe the company, but provide a critical evaluation of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. To do this effectively, you will need to research the chosen company in considerable depth.
Coherent analysis supported with evidence is required. Structure the report as you see fit (although guidance on this aspect will be provided in the lectures).
Your work must be presented in a report format (2400 words). It is important that your report is properly structured.
