Mollie’s Move

Mollie’s job moved from New Jersey to Mississippi and Arkansas and eventually to a maquiladora in Matamoros, Mexico. There are a couple of possible ways to look at this:
(a) It was basically inevitable, and nothing could really be done about it. Besides, even though some people may have been hurt along the way, it was probably for the best because this was necessary to keep the company competitive and to keep the price of goods low.
(b) This was not inevitable, or at least wouldn’t have been inevitable, if proper "rules of the game" had been set up. The move was probably harmful overall, because it only ended up destroying jobs in the U.S. while exploiting workers like Balbina Duque in Mexico.

Q1: Critically evaluate the major psychological theories of adolescent development. Choose at least two theories that you believe best describe adolescence in today’s world. Analyze the relevance of the theories you selected.CLICK HERE TO ORDER THIS ESSAY!!!!
Q2: Critically evaluate current research designs used to study adolescent development. Choose at least two designs and discuss their strengths and weaknesses. Are they useful, valid, reliable, ethical?

Database Characteristics and the Language of

Database Characteristics and the Language of Health Information Systems

The Case Assignment:
1.For this Case Assignment, you will be assuming the role of a lead person on a technology review committee at a multifacility regional hospital. Your committee has been tasked with evaluating the plausibility and possible selection of a new Health Information System that will enable the hospital to electronically collect and share patient medical history information among its various hospital centers and departments.
2.Currently, each hospital center maintains paper copies and files of patient records, which are separately managed and stored at each facility. Few of the electronically based information systems are integrated between the various centers and locations.CLICK HERE TO ORDER THIS ESSAY!!!!
3.To add to the challenge, the CIO informs you that most of the members on the committee have limited experience with information systems and databases. However, the CIO is aware that you are studying Health Informatics, so she has asked you to help familiarize the committee with fundamental concepts related to database systems and relevant health information standards.
4.Specifically, the CIO (and your professor) request that you prepare a brief overview of the following:1.Fundamentals of database characteristics and structure.
2.Various types of medical data and information records relevant to this project.
3.The importance of uniform terminology, coding, and standardization of the data.
4.Various information standards and organizations that may be applicable, and possibly required, for this project.
5.In addition, search the Internet and find three healthcare information systems vendors that offer electronic medical record products. A FEW COMMENTS ABOUT COLOR (to supplement the text):
Basic primary colors are blue, yellow and red. They are bold and assertive. Blue can symbolize earth force colors (sky, sea), health and medical matters (think Code Blue), cool intellect and technology. Red has obvious symbolism of passion, violence, love, danger, boldness, but in a business context, it can mean bankruptcy or financial loss. Yellow is a warm, friendly color.
Secondary colors also have special meanings. Green can represent wellness, growth and new life, and alternative energy, but also money and financial institutions. Orange often represents autumn, Halloween, harvest time, or to alert someone. Brown is often warm, earthy, solid and basic, inviting (shades of brown are often used for restaurants, cafes, bakeries). Purple is a rich, aristocratic, regal, smart, hip color. Black classically symbolizes evil and death, but in a business context it can mean professional, classy, cosmopolitan (think black and chrome mirrored bars and restaurants)–grey also.
Other colors: pink–juvenile; white–clean looking, sanitary, but too much white on a page can be empty and cold.
Beware of monochromatic colors used together, like grey and black, different shades of the same color, or too-similar colors like blue and violet. These colors might look good on computer screens and transparencies but look washed out and hard to differentiate in print.
