sexual health

Answer each journal entry 1-8 as the structure and questions of this essay is uploaded in the additional files. You must use headings for each journal entry. At least 6 references required for this essay.
Essay structure as following:
1- The words count must not be more than1300 words total for all journal entries (150-300 words for each entry), So please try to be succinct and to the point to stay in word count
2- Use a heading for each journal entry. The nature for the questions lends itself to brief individual responses.
3- References must be accessed and not less than 5 references.
4- The essay structure is to response to journal entry 1-8 as below.
Journal entry 1
Make a list of the seven developmental stages of childhood and dot point what you would expect to see in terms of behavior related specifically to sexuality and sexual development. (Referencing required)
Childhood development can be determined through seven developmental stages:
•Prenatal: conception to birth
•Infancy: birth through to one year
•Toddler: 1- 4 years
•Preschool: 4-5 years
•School age: 5-9 years
•Preadolescent: 10-11 years
•Adolescent: 12-21 years (early 12-14 years, middle 14-17, late 17-21years)
These stages are defined using the theories of Erikson and Freud.
Journal entry 2
Visit a school in your local area (primary or secondary) and speak with a teacher involved in sexual health education. In your journal describe the program, that is, when is it taught, what is the content, what is the evaluation from the school’s perspective. Describe the inter agency collaboration and identify the key stakeholders in the program
Journal entry 3
Think of a time when you have been caring for a person over 70 years of age. How did they express their sexuality? Make an entry in your journal and then return to the literature and see whether their behavior reflects what the literature says. (Referencing required).
Journal entry 4
Write an account of an experience that you have had with a client whose sexuality was challenged. You may like to use the headings presented for assessing threat to body image include as a structure for this response.
Journal entry 5
Visit www.health.sa.gov.au and find the Report of notifiable disease. Make a list of the sexually transmitted infections (STIs) that have to be notified in South Australia.
Now visit www.stdservices.on.net and identify the four most common Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in South Australia. What is the incidence of each of these diseases?
Then go to www.sti.health.gov.au and list the four most common STIs in Australia. What is the incidence of these? How does South Australia compare to Australia?
What is Confidence with Condoms? Can you find information about Snake condoms?
Why might these be valuable community activities? (Referencing required)
Journal entry 6
Select one method of contraception and write in your journal the following:
•Use effectiveness of method selected
•Availability
•Cost
•Popularity usage rate
•Mode of action
•Advantages and disadvantages
•Effects on sexuality
List the references of any research you could find on the chosen method in the last three years. (Referencing required)
Journal entry 7
Complete the following sentence:
Sexuality means …
Journal entry 8
Having now completed the learning activities for this topic Reflect on your learning, and discuss how you might change your practice with this new knowledge.

being generous

In 1955 medical researcher Jonas Salk developed an effective polio vaccine. At the time polio was considered a serious threat to public health however, Salk refused to profit by patenting the vaccine because he was more concerned with preventing disease than with personal gain. While several people work to benefit themselves primarily motivated by financial gain or profit, some individuals adopt a more self-less approach by deliberately putting the needs of others first. Carefully reflect upon this statement.
Write an essay explaining whether (why or why not) individuals within society should be more concerned about others than about themselves.
Be sure to –
Clearly state your thesis.
Organize and develop your ideas effectively.
Choose your words carefully.
Edit your writing for grammar, mechanics, and spelling.
DO NOT USE THE FOLLOWING ABOVE AS AN EXAMPLE , just as a guide to the essay.
Khalil Gibran; “Generosity is not giving me that which i need more than you do, but it is giving me that which you need more than i do”. this quote is mandatory in the introduction.

Intermediate Algebra

• For the factoring problem, be sure you show all steps to the factoring and solving. Show a check of your solutions back into the original equation.
• For the Quadratic Formula problem, be sure that you use readable notation while you are working the computational steps.
• Present your final solutions as decimal approximations carried out to the third decimal place. Due to the nature of these solutions, no check is required.
• Incorporate the following four math vocabulary words into your discussion. Use bold font to emphasize the words in your writing (Do not write definitions for the words; use them appropriately in sentences describing your math work.):
o Quadratic formula
o Factoring
o Completing the square
o Discriminant

Solving Quadratic Equations
#79 pg 637: Solve by Factoring
There is another way this problem could be solved (by completing the square which has already been done to it) but our instructions say to solve by factoring. This will require us to multiply out the left side and then subtract 9/4 from both sides to leave the right side zero.
(p + ½ )2 = 9/4 First we need to expand the left side by FOIL.
p2 + p + ¼ = 9/4 Subtract 9/4 from both sides.
p2 + p – 2 = 0 Since ¼ – 9/4 = -8/4 = -2 we now are free of the fractions.
(p + 2)(p – 1) = 0 Left side is factored.
p + 2 = 0 or p – 1 = 0 Using the Zero Factor Property.
p = -2 or p = 1 Our solutions.
{-2, 1} Solution set presented.
Check: (p + ½ )2 = 9/4 (p + ½ )2 = 9/4
(-2 + ½ )2 = 9/4 (1 + ½)2 = 9/4
(-3/2)2 = 9/4 (3/2)2 = 9/4
9/4 = 9/4 9/4 = 9/4
#87 pg 637
-x2 + x + 6 = 0 Factor -1 out of all terms first.
-1(x2 – x – 6) = 0 Divide both sides by -1
x2 – x – 6 = 0 Ready for factoring.
(x – 3)(x + 2)= 0 Left side is factored.
x – 3 = 0 or x + 2 = 0 Using the Zero Factor Property.
x = 3 or x = -2 Our solutions.
{-2, 3} Solution set presented.
Check: -x2 + x + 6 = 0 -x2 + x + 6 = 0
-(-2)2 + (-2) + 6 = 0 -(3)3 + 3 + 6 = 0
-4 – 2 + 6 = 0 -9 + 3 + 6 = 0
-6 + 6 = 0 -6 + 6 = 0
0 = 0 0 = 0
#47 pg 646: Solve using Quadratic Formula
3y2 + 2y – 4 = 0 a = 3, b = 2, c = -4 Discriminant is b2 – 4ac
which is 22 – 4(3)(-4) = 52 so we have two real solutions.
y = -(2) ? v[22 – 4(3)(-4)] All values put into the formula in parenthesis.
2(3)
y = -2 v[4 + 48] Simplification begins.
6
y = -2 v[52] Need to simplify the radical next: 52 = 4?13
6
y = -2 ? 2v[13] Both terms in the top and 6 have a factor of 2 which can
6 be canceled out.
y = -1 v[13] This is our solution set in radical form.
3
{.869, -1.535} Our solution set presented as decimal approximations.
Using the Quadratic Formula will work on all types of quadratic equations, but factoring is quicker and easier if it is a possible choice for the equation.

Chemical Reactions in Nursing Profession

M7: Chemical Reactions (please write paper with regards to the nursing profession):
Investigate how you will be using chemical reactions in your field. What will you need to understand how the reactions are occuring at the molecular level? What system is in place for you to understand this process? Describe at least one reaction and the system in which that reaction proceeds. If one of the reactants is limited what will happen to the reaction? Are there side reactions that might affect the outcome? How can we at the macro level control these reactions so they proceed as we foresee? What possible side effects or negative reactions can occur because of this reaction?

“The Spiral Road: Change in a Chinese Village through the Eyes of a Communist Party Leader” by Huang Shu-min.

A book review on “The Spiral Road: Change in a Chinese Village through the Eyes of a Communist Party Leader” by Huang Shu-min.
The point of a book review is to summarize the book’s argument, main points, and significance to a given area of study (in this case, world history since 1945). It should NOT be a page-by-page or chapter-by-chapter description of the book. Remember, I have read the book. I know what it says. I want to see whether YOU understand what it is about.
A book review should answer the following questions:
1) Who is the author (name and professional background)?
2) What is the author’s main argument? What is he or she trying to prove?
3) What are the author’s main points? What points does he or she make to prove his argument?
4) What kinds of sources or evidence does the author present to support his or her points and argument?
5) What did you learn from reading the book? What does the book tell you about China, communism, and/or world history since 1945?
6) Do you like the book (is the author’s argument convincing)? Why or why not?
