Is Electronic Monitoring in the Workplace justified or an invasion of privacy of employees?


The ECPA has far reaching implications for workers and potential workers within organizations. Employers can use all manner of electronic monitoring: GPS tracking, cell phone tracking, cameras, computer monitors, etc. In a world that is becoming less and less private (see recent stories of NSA collecting information on all of us), do we want employers to be able to track an monitor us on and off the job (i.e. Facebook checking of applicants.)
