To prepare for this discussion, locate one peer-reviewed journal article using the Research Guide located in your specialization area in the Learner Success Lab. The article should address some aspect of leadership and communication.
Discussion
The ability to conduct research is a skill used in almost every area of our lives, whether we are aware of doing it or not. It is especially important for public service leaders to be able to support the numerous proposals they will make throughout their careers with valid, credible information obtained through research. The ability to locate, evaluate, and use research will serve to further solidify your position as a leader in your field.
Briefly summarize the main points of the article you located in the Capella library. How were you able to determine the credibility of the information presented in the article? Does the information stand on its own, or does it need to be corroborated? Describe how you might use this article in your professional work.
