Description:
You are a Director of community services division of the department of housing and human services. you should present the best alternatives and recommendations about 'counting the homeless' to represent them to the mayor as a proposal for fulfilling the mayor's pledge.
Based on the case study, discuss one on the issues  identified which is “Counting homeless people” Other issues in the case are discussed by my classmates.
So my discussion is focused on headcounts for homeless people that can be performed in many ways, please follow the outlines below. Make into consideration that the time frame is short (only 6 months) to get as many homeless as possible in shelters or homes.
Also provide information on when you think the counting should start? Before Christmas day? On Christmas day? Because based on the case study on page 1, the mayor’s pledge is: “there will be no homeless families with children or homeless single women on the streets of Seattle by Christmas 1998”

This assignment requires you to summarize in a few paragraphs the content of Postman's first two chapters, “The Medium is the Metaphor” and “Media as Epistemology.” The essay should be 500-600 words.
Paraphrases and direct quotations in are required. In addition, use beginning and ending quotation marks and page numbers (in parentheses) following the direct quotations.

 an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement.

 at least three body paragraphs

Some strategies to consider when writing this essay:
The following approach might be helpful for you when you write this assignment:

1. Read the entire text of both chapters, noting key points and main ideas.
2. Summarize in your own words the single main idea of the two chapters as one unit.
3. Paraphrase three to five important supporting points for your single main idea for the two chapters.
4. Underline any words, phrases, or brief passages you believe should be quoted directly because the particular way they are worded contributes to the meaning.
5. Write an introductory paragraph that contains a thesis statement at its conclusion, containing your single main idea of the two chapters (see item 2 above)
6. Write topic sentences for the body paragraphs (three to five) that relate to the thesis and also incorporate the important supporting points.
7. Develop the content of each body paragraph by adding direct quotes (see information below on quotations).
8. Write a final draft and edit for smooth transitions and correctness.
9. Include direct quotations that contribute significantly and give credit to the author.

There are several ways to integrate quotations into your text. Often, a short quotation works well when integrated into a sentence. Longer quotations can stand alone.

This will be the literature review chapter for my phd thesis in strategic management. The unit of analysis will be an international equity joint venture case study. The lit review should cover the relational theory as outlined by Dyer &Singh 1998 but should be critical applying the research of Beamish&Lupton 2009. The four categories defined by Dyer&Singh1998 :Relation Specific Assets, Knowledge Sharing Routines, Complementary Resources and Capabilities, and Effective Governance should be researched and discussed in depth according to the most recent and classic articles in those 4 categories (determinants). Also the 5 of 6 categories of Beamish&Lupton 2009 (Performance, Knowledge Management, Governance, Managing Cultural Differences, and Valuing the JV )should be compared and discussed in an overlapping way with Dyer&Singh1998 and any others found. The 6 category of Internationalization should not be discussed as my case will not include the Selecting A Partner stage of Beamishi&Lupton 2009's schema.

Change in the nature of work for Americans in the 19th century

- In the first half of the 19th century, the emergence of a market economy reshaped the lives of working Americans, both free and enslaved. Industrial and agricultural developments not only changed the status of workers and the organization of work, but also transformed the work process itself, an observation for which Adam Smith and Alexis de Tocqueville offer competing theories.
