The Problem of Evil: Modern vs. Traditional Paper

"Overwhelmingly, global South churches teach a firm belief in the existence of evil and in the reality of the devil; and that is especially true of Pentecostal and charismatic churches" (see page 100 in The New Faces of Christianity: Believing the Bible in the Global South).

In a paper of 1,500-2,000 words, address the following:

1) What are the key elements that account for the significant differences in defining and responding to the problem of evil between most global North churches and most global South churches?

2) Do you expect these marked differences to lessen over time, or do you see them as ultimately mutually exclusive and one or the other view to predominate in global Christianity? Develop your thoughts.
