Acoustic Analysis

The purpose of this assignment is to test the student?s basic understanding of the acoustic principles used in the design of a music recording studio (control room) and the relationship between theoretical analysis and physical measurement.
Students will receive dimensions of a rectangular control room from the Unit lecturer, in addition to details regarding the materials from which the ceiling, walls and the floor are constructed. Using this information, students are to write a report that presents a theoretical acoustic analysis of the given space, predicting sound behaviour in the room. The theoretical analysis must make use of spreadsheet software.
The report will include a full modal analysis (Bolt, Bonello, Axial, Tangential, Oblique and All-Modes) in addition to a full RT60 analysis predicting the reverberation time at key frequencies.
Students will also be provided with a recording of an impulse response (IR) of the room that they are to import into wave analysis software. Students will then compare and contrast their theoretical modelling of the room with the practical measurement of the room?s impulse response.

use a software called fuzz measure to help you on the acoustic analysis
