Australian literature study and translation

This assignment aims at Australian literature study and translation,

and consists of two parts.

Part One:

1. Select a 8L text in Australian literature (short story, novel, prose essays or

biography);

2. Write in English a short statement about the author and the work, and about your

selection work.

A. You need to do research on Australian

literature in the Library and select a 8L text of about 300-400 words. Once you have selected it, photocopy the page. B. After that, you write in English a statement of about 300-350 words

1) to briefly introduce the author (100 words) and the selected work (100 words)

focusing on significant information that helps the reader know the author and the work);

2) to state why you choose this work, why and howthe chosen text can help you study translation or obtain knowledge in other areas
