entry-strategies for emerging markets

Could you explain how “entry-strategies for emerging markets ought to be carefully developed to avoid risk of being victims of micro and macro-economic crises that frequently pops out in developing countries”? It would also be interesting to see how “MNC’s deal with corrupt government officials to get quick legal and essential services especially where bureaucracy is a norm”. There is a general belief that emerging markets are corrupt. I wonder what your view is, especially with the Nigerian experience. It is the people who are corrupt or the MNCs which encourage corruption?

Clinical research data base question

You are to locate and document research databases that relate to a significant clinical nursing issue of your choice. The research databases may be labeled as such, or may be collections of research studies, reports, articles and/or findings that are not specifically called “databases.” Please note: Individual journals and journal articles do not meet the criteria for a research database, and therefore do not qualify for this assignment.
COURSE OUTCOMES
This assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcome:
CO 1: Examine the sources of evidence that contribute to professional nursing practice. (PO7)
DUE DATE: You are to identify a total of five (5) research databases (or collections of research-based evidence) that are relevant to a significant clinical nursing issue that is important to you. Submit the descriptions using the form provided in Doc Sharing to the Week 5 Dropbox by 11:59 p.m. Sunday (MT).
POINTS
The assignment is worth a total of 175 points. Please see the grading rubric for details.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Choose a topic of interest to you that is a significant clinical nursing issue. Please note that the databases you identify could be useful sources of information for your Capstone project in NR451, so choose your topic thoughtfully.
2. Download the “NR449_Research_Database_Form” from Doc Sharing and type information about each database directly onto the form. Your paper does NOT need to follow APA formatting; however, you are expected to use correct grammar, spelling, and syntax and write in complete sentences.
3. Save the file by clicking “Save as: and adding your last name, e.g., “NR449_Research Database_Smith.docx”
4. Describe your topic of interest. This is worth 15 points.

You may search for these in various locations, e.g., the Internet, an intranet at work, print publications, etc. You may NOT choose the databases that are already familiar to you – MEDLINE, PUBMED (which also indexes MEDLINE), GOOGLE SCHOLAR, and CINAHL. Instead, your are expected to expand your knowledge of evidence-based sources. Places to help you begin include Houser (2012, p. 126), which lists databases and websites that report research. The Chamberlain online library (http://www.Chamberlain.edu/library) gives you access to several databases and provides a tutorial for the student. Government sites such as those at the National Institutes of Health offer collections of research on a variety of subjects. The key to choosing the databases is that each contains research-based evidence that also pertains to your topic of interest.Click Here To Get More On This Paper!!!!
6. Review each database or collection to gather information to create a description for the assignment. Each description must:

It has 16 million references from approximately 5,200 scholarly journals, newspapers, magazines and newsletters. MEDLINE uses Medical Subject Headings, or MeSH, to index its database holdings. Medline may be searched through PubMed, a public site that is free of charge. MedlinePlus offers consumer information.
MEDLINE is relevant to my topic of interest because it contains references to research articles on simulation in nursing. It has MeSH headings on simulation. This allows me to find abstracts from research studies that relate to teaching simulation in schools of nursing.

Content area reading are the concepts & ideas used by teachers to structure subjects and teaching. On the other hand content area literacy is the teaching of skills in all content classes, such as teaching reading to students in English, Math & also Social Studies with the same strategies. In so doing, three principal components would be used; general literacy skills, content specific skills & prior knowledge of content (McKenna & Robinson, 1990).

Inquiry is the ability of students to find solutions to problems based on questioning key ideas. Students must read to understand so they correctly get answers to questions to problems posed by the teacher. Activities will be molded around students inquisitions that will lead to more reading & writing with a purpose.
For example looking at the topic of bullying, students can come up with their own definitions & solutions from looking at 6 essential questions in groups related to the topic. Also they can create a real world scenario by making a public service announcement informing the public about bullying.

3. Answer Tyronie three questions and give three questions to the forum to answer.
A)    How have teachers overlooked content literacy?
B)    How about inquiry?
C)    What do you think of the definition I stated?

B)  Comment on Judith response to forum answer. Do you agree or disagree. In one paragraph.

There is definitely a difference between content area reading and content area literacy. Content area reading deals with what the teacher is going to use to help the students read and try to remember. In other words, how the teacher is going to structure his or her instructions to suit the curriculum he or she has to cover. On the other hand, content area literacy deals with enhancing students' way of thinking about reading across the curriculum and not just in subject area like content area reading. Students are made to think and construct ideas through various activities that will enable them to discuss, read and write from many different perspectives. Learning that takes place will be more student centered, purposeful and constructive as opposed to teacher centered and curriculum driven in content area reading. However, both are necessary for students to be more effective and proficient.
Inquiry is the the manner in which students will address the issue of focusing on answering questions based on what they understood when they read and the problems that may arise, but with the help of some guidance on the part of the teacher. Thus, it is important for the teacher to model, mentor and monitor. This way students will be able to understand what they are looking for and arrive at the correct answers or ideas.
The teacher for example can bring a piece of reading about a current issue affecting the country. She can have them work in groups and read the excerpt. She can then have several questions for students to answer and then have a class discussion. She can find out what students know about the issue, how they feel about the issue, and have them explain what some advantages and disadvantages of the issue are and explain and interpret what can happen given different scenarios. Those that had no idea of the issue should create questions. This way they get to think outside of the box and focus on the reading, discussion and the answers they will come up with to write their answers. Teacher can then listen to their answers and add to it as well. Students should leave the lesson knowing about what the issue was all about and how it affects/contributes to our country.
