GENDER ISSUES

.    Performance: Develop an understanding of historical perspectives of purposes of public education and treatment of culturally diverse populations in North America. In addition to the historical developments, for the chosen minority group, please, describe ways of teaching in the public schools to address ways of introducing equality, equity and increased self-esteem in the learning process. What is the current policy in schools vis-à-vis of your chosen group? From observation and experience, or readings explain what are the current strategies in school for addressing equity vis-à-vis of your issue (focus group).
