• Structure your essay to develop and support a clear argument which demonstrates an understanding of the relationships between composer, responder, text and context.
• Discuss ideas presented in the text in relation to the above question using appropriate language for essay writing
• Describe and explain how film techniques are used to shape meaning and influence the viewer’s response.
• Analyse in detail two scenes from the film ‘Gladiator’ to show an understanding of how visual/film techniques are used by the composer to represent the concept of heroism.
