Once observations and hypotheses are created, scientists must plan an experiment to test their hypotheses. To acquire data scientists must utilize scientific tools. The scientific tools will provide measurements for data collection.
Consider your chosen field and the special measurement tools used. Complete a web search to determine the proper method for reading measurements from the tools. Write a post explaining what your tools are and how data is properly collected from those tools. Consider this week’s module when determining if the literature supports proper measurement practices. Include in your post an explanation of possible outcomes in your profession if a measurement was read improperly and a best practices procedure for all of your future measurements.
Review and comment of two of your peers. Are they using the concepts studied in this module properly? How can they improve their best practices procedure? What do you think the consequences of improper measurements in their field are?
