Media Experimentation


Overview.
An artist’s choice of media is extremely important to the impact and meaning of an
artwork. Create three “sketchbook pages” exploring three of the

D
media addressed in
lecture and/or th
e book. These pages could consist of doodles, formal drawings, or a
series of different types of marks, lines or shapes. Be sure, however, to explore the
potential of your three media fully. Then, write three
half
-
page
responses to each of your
media experiments
, discussing the
properties,
benefits
,
and limitations of your chosen
media.
