Essay topic:

Discuss how a community disaster (of human or natural origin) may impact on primary school aged children and their development. Discuss how knowledge of human development can assist human service workers to support children in such a situation, in particular to foster resilience.

You may write about human service workers in general or focus on a particular occupation (such as social work). Draw on your knowledge of ecological and strengths perspectives in your discussion, but do not ignore more traditional views on human development where these are relevant.
