Philosophy

Kant makes the human mind an active participant in how we experience the world around us. Is it possible, as Kant's theory suggests, that our mind shapes everything we experience? How dependable is the mind as an instrument of knowledge? Is it true that knowledge is limited to "things-as-they-appear" (or, "phenomena"), and thus "things-in-themselves" (or, "noumena") are unknowable? Why, or why not.
