After having the book Postmodernism:A Very Short Introduction by Christopher Butler, look at the following issues. What are eight to ten of the central themes of postmodernism theory. These do not need to be spelled out in great idea, but do give a brief analysis of what these theoretical points are. Explain why they are important and how they relate concretely to postmodern art. In this content, name at least five works of art that express more than one of the themes of postmodern theory which you have cited. Include title of these works of art and the artists who made them. This will make you analysis concrete. You essay will largely be judge on how well you connect the art and the theory. The other thing that will also be considered is the quality of the quotation from Butler’s book and your own work of analysis. So quote often, interpret everything you quote in your own words and show me that you understand the postmodern art and theory.
