- Paper instructions:
- Political violence in Latin America in the twentieth century: During the 1970s and 1980s and even the 1990s, political violence resulted in the deaths of thousands of Latin Americans, mostly in the countries of Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Colombia. After this violent time, in some countries, truth commissions appointed to investigate the killings and torture. Is it important to preserve the collective memory in the history of these human rights violations, or forget it worth? Do you think that the preservation of the memory of these tragic events can prevent the repetition of the story? How should preserve this memory?
