Adolescent Psychology

How would you describe the experience? What would you say you learned from your work life?
Do you expect that what you learned will be of value to you in your intended career as an adult?
Why, or why not?
Make sure you are supporting your opinion with resources.
On average, girls are more likely than boys to deal with problems in their personal relationships by talking them over with friends. What advantages do you see to this approach, and what disadvantages?

Describe how friendship changes from childhood into adolescence. How do the ideas of Harry Stack Sullivan fit with your description? What factors predict which teens will become friends, and what are the benefits and risks of such friendships?

What are the two major kinds of coping strategies, and under what circumstances is each likely to be more useful? What is resilience, and what adaptational systems encourage its development?
