psychology

1)Clinicians have the ethical obligation to assist their client in identifying the source of a memory and determining the validity of the memory. Ethically a clinician has to be aware that he or she can influence their clients thoughts and actions. The general principle in the Ethical principles of psychology states:
“Because psychologists’ scientific and professional judgments and actions may affect the lives of others, they are alert to and guard against personal, financial, social, organizational or political factors that might lead to misuse of their influence”
With clients the clinician can gain such an influential relationship during treatment process that he or she could affect the memory of the client to events that may or may not have occured. So the clinician needs to be aware of the influence held.
What can clinicians do to safeguard their clients
